For those who suffering from slow connection (regardless broadband or dial up user) this should be a simple Firefox Hack to make your Firefox run faster by enabling the Firefox pipelining features.
Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which can speed up page loading.
Follow these steps carefully(do not rush) and make sure that there are no other firefox winow are opened during this process.
1. Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit enter.
2. Look/Filter for "Network" and make these changes:
-“network.http.keep-alive”. If it’s false, double-click that line and to change it to true.
-“network.http.version” is set to “1.1″.
-“network.http.pipelining”. If it’s false, double-click that line and change it to true.
-"network.http.proxy.pipelining" true.
-Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to 8 by double-clicking it. this means firefox willmake 8 data request synchronously. (Max request is 8)
3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0″. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.
4. Restart Firefox
